Where does most of my Organic search engine traffic come from?

I've been researching this stuff, to take my clients sites to the next level.  First consider this data.  51% of your traffic is coming from organic web searches

That's absolutely massive.  14% just from adwords (paid search or sponsored advertising)  Most of our traffic is coming from adwords right now.  That's only 14%! So by focusing on organic searching now, we are going to double, triple and quadruple our traffic.

So I researched how to get more pages on to google quicker!

The reason why I am doing this is because I found that google wasn't indexing many of my clients rich pages  of content.

So how do we fix this? We can build a site map

What Exactly is a SiteMap?

Google finds your pages on your site, when we submit them to the search engines.  But all the new pages you've created and the new ones we have done Google knows nothing about them.  Google has to crawl all those pages over time and many times it misses or ignores some really good pages.

There are tons of these pages that Google fails to pick up for various reasons.

This is where a site map comes in.

It tells google with priority, which pages are important on your site, and instead of having to submit them to the search engine manually, a site map just tells google what you want indexed right away.

So let's say we have 10 new pages we want to index, we don't have to wait.  We just add them to the site map, and google will pick them up in a matter of days instead of weeks or months.  It's the quickest way to add many pages to google and also it will look to those priority pages for updates quickly (like in 3 or so days) and then it re-organizes it on the search engines.

So what this also means is that, when we make changes to any pages, within 3 days google picks that up and re-organizes it on the search engines.  Very powerful tool.
